- The Comedy Barn Theater
- The Black Bear Jamboree Dinner Show
- The Miracle Theater
- The Blackwoods Breakfast Variety Show

A single, corporate website was needed in order to send out media releases, marketing material, and corporate information. The majority of the information needed to be publicly available so that various media outlets could access the editorial content as well as any photos or videos associated with stories.
There was also a need for a password-protected area where authorized users could download logos, photos, posters, etc for marketing purposes.
Project Details:
Elements I created
- Practically everything you see other than the actual articles and photos within the articles
- Logo and header image
- CSS menu
- Password-protected area with photos, logos, and editorials of each show

Project Description:
During my freshman year at The Art Institute Online I had asked the faculty numerous times about creating a “community” for students to communicate outside of the classroom. It would provide a way for students to talk with other students that were not in classes together. It seemed like an amazingly simple idea to me, but I kept getting told “We’re working on it” for months. Finally, on January 18, 2004 I got tired of hearing “We’re working on it” and flat out did it myself. I put together a forum in a single day and then launched a website to go with it three days later. It immediately filled up with students showing gratitude for a place where they could communicate outside of classes. Also, it wasn’t endorsed or sponsored by The Art Institute Online so it was a completely honest and laid back place to express all sorts of opinions about the school, classes, facilitators, etc. Hundreds of students have posted thousand of topics in the forums as it continues to grow in popularity. It was literally built for the students…by the students.
Project Details:
The Art Institute Online Student Community includes
- Forum for students to communicate, buy & sell items, show projects, etc
- Content Management System for posting articles
- CSS-driven navigation menu on the main site
- Ability to post videos in articles
- Over 100 affiliate partners
- Monetized with Google Adsense, Commission Junction, Linkshare, and Azoogleads

Project Description:
Visual Forces is a website devoted to inspirational photography and fine art. It was launched in 2001 as a site to simply display my photography, but was converted completely to inspirational photography on January 1, 2003 with a new site design. It features a gift shop, free e-cards, mailing list, news, articles and more. The layout, graphics, photos, content, navigation, and database work were all completed by me. I used third-part scripts for the e-commerce cart, radio, guestbook, and e-cards. I integrated each script in with the look & feel of the rest of the site.
Project Details:
Visual Forces was created with the following:
- Macromedia Dreamweaver (now Adobe)
- EditPlus 2
- Adobe Photoshop
- Candypress Shopping Cart
- Flash MP3 Player
- Canon Digital Rebel
- HTML, DHTML, ASP, mySQL
Project’s Future:
I created this site before I knew much about XHTML, CSS, or SEO. It currently has tables and very little SEO. Future plans are:
- Re-code the entire site using PHP and mySQL while making it XHTML & CSS compliant.
- Search Engine Optimization
- More Products
- Other secrets that I don’t want to let out just yet!
