My favorite “photo organizer” of choice has long-been Google’s Picasa. It’s simple, easy-to-use, and gets the job done for most of my needs. I recommend it to just about everyone I know as it’s free and easy to teach people how to use it. However, I use a Mac about as much as I use a Windows computer and have longed for Google’s Picasa to come to the Mac since iPhoto has never really done it for me (sorry Apple). Well, Google Picasa for Mac is now available! Yep, you can now run Google Picasa on the Mac without weird virtual PCs or any crazy jazz. Just straight-up Google goodness on Apple goodness. Finally.
Here’s a video from Google showing Google’s Picasa on the Mac:

When most people are asked “What do you do?” they often respond with a job title or a simple description of their line of work. As an internet marketer, my response is more of a chuckle followed by a deep breath…after all, my official title at work is Manager of Marketing Technology. Whether that sounds impressive or insanely boring to you I’m sure you’re wondering what in the world it means. Well, I’ve put together what I call the internet marketing mindmap to provide an overview of what an internet marketer does.
The internet marketing mindmap has a foundation of “increase website traffic”. While many would say that “making money” is the primary goal, it’s actually the traffic that leads to success. Also, “making money” may not always be the ultimate goal. It could be to win a contest or election, increase awareness to a cause, build a community of like-minded people, etc. Whatever the “goal” is, there is always the foundational requirement to increase website traffic. So, with that said, let me break down what you’re about to see.

Here’s an extremely simple way of finding profiles of CEOs on Twitter. All this does is search the twitter.com website for the exact phrase “bio ceo”. So if on the user’s profile they have CEO listed beside their Bio it wil show in the Google results. I know it’s not perfect, but this is an easy way to find and follow numerous CEOs.

If you want to find Bios of CEOs on twitter as well as Presidents of companies, use this search query:

I just got back from the 2008 Webmaster Jam Session in Atlanta, GA. Good times and brain overload. I took lots of notes and thought I’d share the most important tidbits with others…if you were there you’ll get this…if you didn’t attend, well, make sure you attend next year so you’ll know what all of the following means!!!
Here we go…my top notes from the 2008 WJS.
- J. Cornelius likes to wear black…and pimp his software…maybe the black helps him pimp.
J. Cornelius’ Website - John Moore doesn’t care what men think that women think…he says size matters.
John Moore’s Website - Jason Beaird: If Bob Villa, Mike Holmes, and Bob the Builder had a sleepover, they’d watch Jason build an entire house…with nothing but a reciprocating saw.
Jason Beaird’s Website - Nathan Smith likes to say “dude”. As a matter of fact, he’ll probably name his upcoming baby boy “Dude”. Either that or when the baby pops out, Nathan’s only reaction will be…”dude!”
Nathan Smith’s Website - Christian Heilmann likes puppies
Christian Heilmann’s Website - Jina Bolton loves airplanes and thinks sleep is overrated
Jina Bolton’s Website - James Craig likes to hear computers talk to him.
James Craig’s Website - Ethan Marcotte loooooves slide animations. Especially ones with fire.
Ethan Marcotte’s Website - Todd Dominey is taller than he looks in his twitter pic…
Todd Dominey’s Website - Ben Chesnut likes monkeys
Ben Chesnut’s Website - Jason Ford smiles….A LOT
Jason Ford’s Website - Jeff Croft is an “a-hole”. Ok, not really, but he likes for people to think he is…so just go with it…ok?
Jeff Croft’s Website - Christina Warren doesn’t think Jeff Croft is an “a-hole”…I think she only said that cause she was sitting beside him.
Christina Warren’s Website - Garrett Dimon disagrees with Christina Warren
Garrett Dimon’s Website - Dan Rubin hides his “online side” from his mom
Dan Rubin’s Website - Rob Weychart has an entire chess set stashed in his beard. Srsly.

And finally…
I know I left out some, so jump in the comments and share what you learned at the 2008 Webmaster Jam Session!

The iPhone continues to raise the bar in coolness for me each and every day. While my wife gets annoyed by it, I find it the coolest little thing since the birth of our son! Speaking of which, I take a lot of pics of our baby boy…many of the photos are snapped quickly on the iPhone. We host all of our photos on Google’s Picasa Web Albums and I’ve often wondered how to easily get the pics from my iPhone to my web albums quickly…cause some things need to be posted & shared right away! Well, fortunately for me, I work with two fellow iPhone junkies…one of which showed me exactly how to send iPhone pictures to Picasa Web Albums incredibly easy. Here’s how.
